Denise Fox, 56, Killed in Santa Margarita DUI Head-On Crash on Highway 58

Santa Margarita head-on crash Highway 58 West Pozo RoadSANTA MARGARITA, California (April 30, 2016) – A head-on crash prompted by a DUI driver killed 56-year-old Denise Lyn Fox along Highway 58 on Saturday evening, according to The Tribune.

The collision on Highway 58 at West Pozo Road around 6:15 p.m.

As per the article, California Highway Patrol said 23-year-old Jessica Lea Allred was going west in a 1999 Saturn, east of J Street, when she allegedly crossed the solid double yellow line.

The San Luis Obispo woman then collided with  a 1996 Toyota driven by Fox. The 56-year-old Santa Margarita woman suffered fatal injuries following the accident.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed Allred sustained broken right leg and two ankles. She was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI. The family of Denise Fox have set up a Go Fund Me account to help with funeral expenses.
