About 12:33 p.m., police say Romines was working for AutoZone delivering parts and was driving southbound on Cajon Boulevard. He was about to enter the intersection when a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction made a left-hand turn into his path and the two drivers collided.

San Bernardino Fire sent paramedics to help Romines, but he passed away at the scene of the crash.

The San Bernardino Police Department is heading up an investigation into the crash.

“My condolences go out to the family of this young man as they cope with his sudden loss,” said Attorney James Johnson.
