MIRA LOMA, California (January 13, 2016) — Seven people were injured when a driver crashed into a pickup truck and the back of a Jurupa Unified School District school bus late Wednesday morning at Limonite Avenue and Bain Street, a California Highway Patrol report said.

The crash was reported at 11:42 a.m. Police reported the black Honda Accord driven by 23-year-old Sergio Banuelos struck a pickup and then the bus. The Honda was wedged underneath the back end of the bus.  Five fire trucks and three ambulances were sent to the scene to help those hurt. Six of the injured were special needs students who were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries. Banuelos was also injured in the crash.

Two others were taken to a hospital in Corona and two were taken to Kaiser Riverside and one to Riverside Community Hospital. All those hurt suffered minor injuries, except for one with more serious injuries.
