PALM DESERT: Passenger Injured, DUI Driver Arrested After Crash on Highway 111

 PALM DESERT, California (April 4, 2016) — A suspected DUI driver, Christopher Lather, 24, of Desert Hot Springs, has been arrested following a minor-injury crash early Monday morning on Highway 111 at Deep Canyon Road, a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report said.

The crash took place about 12:07 a.m. when Lather’s black sedan crashed into multiple parked, unoccupied vehicles in a parking lot. Paramedics responded and transported a female passenger to a local hospital for treatment of minor facial injuries.

The driver was not injured in the crash, but was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
