Vance Hobart, 61, Killed in Napa Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on Highway 128
Hobart Loses Control of Motorcycle after Avoiding On-Coming Truck
NAPA, California (May 14, 2016) – A 61-year-old Vacaville man identified as Vance Earl Hobart was the victim killed while riding a motorcycle near Lake Berryessa on Friday morning, according to the Napa Valley Register. (map)
The crash occurred on Highway 128, east of Wragg Canyon Road.
As per the article, the sheriff’s office said Vance Hobart was on his motorcycle west on Highway 128 with a group of friends when at the same time a dual-trailer truck traveling in the other direction crossed over the double line.
Hobart then veered and lost control of his bike. He was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, California Highway Patrol said the possible suspect vehicle was described as a white truck pulling a double trailer and was last seen going east on the highway.
