1 Dead, 4 Injured in Trader Joe’s Parking Lot Crash on Third Street

One Dead; Four Injured After Driver Hits Pedestrians in Parking Lot
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 4, 2026) — A 91-year-old woman crashed into four pedestrians in the Trader Joe’s parking lot on Third Street across from The Original Farmers Market, killing a pedestrian and injuring three other pedestrians.
The deadly collision occurred around 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3rd at 7900 West Third Street, just west of Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles. The elderly woman driving a white Tesla sedan reportedly lost control, struck a parked car and the pedestrians, before coming to a stop against the security structure.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and confirmed a woman in her 30s was dead at the scene.
3 Pedestrians, Driver, Hospitalized
Meanwhile, the others injured included a 19-year-old man who was in serious condition when he was taken to a hospital. Two women, ages 57 and 30, were also struck by the vehicle and had minor injuries.
The elderly driver was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Los Angeles Police Department is handling the investigation.
