NORTH HOLLYWOOD, California (April 18, 2016) — Germain Ledesma Moreno, 22, of North Hills has been identified as the man killed after he was struck Sunday night in a collision on the northbound 101 Freeway where it connects with the Ventura 134 and the Hollywood 170 freeways, a Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Police say Moreno was involved in a minor collision about 9:30 p.m. He then fled the scene when a CHP officer arrived to help, but was then hit by the driver of a 2016 Lincoln MKX and then stuck underneath a vehicle. He had to be extricated by firefighters who responded to the scene about 9:50 p.m. last night. A second person who had been injured in the first collision was taken to a local hospital.
