2-Vehicle Collision in Fresno County; Roberto Vasquez II Killed
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 1, 2024) — Roberto Vasquez II, 27, of Fresno, died in a crash Sunday with another motorist at Goldenrod and Jensen avenues in Fresno County.
The young man reportedly drove through a stop sign and collided with a car occupied by a mother and two infants, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
The two-vehicle collision happened just before noon on Sept. 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
Roberto Vasquez was reportedly driving a white Toyota Tundra pickup truck. Authorities say he ran the stop sign at Jensen Avenue and T-boned the car occupied by a woman and her two infant children, the report said.
The two vehicles rolled off the roadway and the young man died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the mother and her two children were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
The case remains under investigation, but police do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
