BAKERSFIELD, California (February 7, 2017) – Two men were hospitalized after an alleged hit-and-run crash on Union Avenue Tuesday, according to 23 ABC News.
The accident took place near Planz Road.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a pickup truck was traveling south on Union Avenue when its trailer dislodged and crossed the center divider.
The trailer then struck a silver BARC minivan which was carrying two employees at the time. The force sent the van into a fence and road signs in front of Rick’s Recycling.
The two adult males in the van were taken to the hospital with injuries considered as moderate injuries. Their names and condition were not available.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. He was described as a Hispanic male in his 30s or 40s.
Meanwhile, Bakersfield police affirmed that the suspect vehicle is possibly a late 1990s to early 2000s dark green or black pick-up truck. It was last seen heading south on Union Avenue.
Authorities will gather more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run motorist.
