Woman Hospitalized Major Injuries
FAIRFIELD, California (May 11, 2016) — Two drivers collided in an injury crash Wednesday morning on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway, just west of Suisun Valley Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 8:30 a.m. between the drivers of a gray Audi sedan and a black Lexus with a female driver. A woman in the Audi suffered major injuries including a broken leg and was transported to Kaiser Vallejo hospital by her mother.
Both vehicles required towing from the scene and all lanes were temporarily shut down to get them to the right shoulder, the report stated. The Audi had major front-end damage, police said in the report. An investigation into liability for the crash is underway.
