5 Dead After Car Accident Between Lathrop and French Camp Thursday
San Joaquin, CA (March 12, 2021) – Five people, including two children, died following a DUI car crash on Interstate 5 Thursday, the KCRA3 News reported.
Officials said the allegedly impaired driver allowed the vehicle to veered off the freeway. The horrible crash took in the place between Lathrop and French Camp.
Shortly after 11 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the site and found a 1997 Toyota sedan smashed into a tree. The news article mentioned the Toyota also struck a highway sign, and plowed through a fence before coming to a rest.

California Highway Patrol group confirmed two children were unrestrained at the time of the collision. As a result, the juveniles both suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident.
Authorities added three adults also died in the crash.
At the moment, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly car crash in San Joaquin County. The relationship of the occupants in the Toyota remained unknown.
