The 2-vehicle collision was reported at 12:46 a.m. near Palmdale Road.
As per the article, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victorville Station said a 35-year-old Adelanto woman had stopped her Nissan Pathfinder in the northbound lane of Highway 395 as instructed by workers performing road construction in the area.
Subsequently 22-year-old Eduardo Pitones, driving a 2002 Honda Civic north, was unable to stop in time and struck the rear of the Pathfinder.
Daily Press affirmed that the woman driving the Nissan was taken to a local hospital while the 22-year-old passenger of Pitones was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, Pitones, of Victorville, was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. He was reportedly unharmed.
