The crash involving a gray Kia and a gray Toyota SUV took place about 6:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway, just west of Laureles Grade.
As per the dispatch, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that two people required medical treatment. One of the victims reportedly complained of neck pain following the collision.
Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to determine the cause of the incident.
