The accident was reported at 10:17 a.m. on Old Oregon Trail at Harley Leighton Road, just south of the intersection with Old Alturas.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said the blue Honda Prelude was turning onto Old Oregon south from Old Alturas when its driver stopped to allow another vehicle coming south to pass.
At the same time, a white pickup was traveling north on Old Oregon. The truck attempted but failed to stop and struck the side of the Prelude.
CHP said one person was pulled out from one of the cars involved following the crash.
The motorist in the Prelude was taken to Mercy Medical Center for evaluation of minor injuries. The pickup driver also suffered minor wounds but was not hospitalized.
The incident is still under investigation.
