LOS ANGELES, California (May 9, 2016) — Two people were injured early Sunday morning when their compact car crashed into a building on 7th Street, just east of Spring Street in downtown Los Angeles, a report by the Los Angeles Fire Department and On Scene TV reported.
The crash took place about 3 a.m. in the morning when the driver of the white Ford Focus crashed into the Hass Building storefront.
The Los Angeles Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to extricate one of the victims who was trapped in a vehicle after the first injured man was pulled from the vehicle. The second injured man appeared to be more seriously injured, but details were not provided. They were both taken by separate ambulances to a local hospital for treatment.
The car suffered major front-end damage including a broken windshield and airbags had been deployed. The cause of the crash is under investigation by police to determine what happened and liability.
