2-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Highway 246
SOLVANG, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2024) — Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle car accident Friday night on Highway 246 in Solvang.
The two-vehicle traffic accident occurred at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 20th, in Santa Barbara County, according to a report by Noozhawk.
The drivers of a Kia and a Lexus collided due to unknown circumstances in the 1000 block of East Highway 246 near Skytt Mesa Drive, the report said. One of the vehicles overturned onto its roof and the other overturned and landed back on its wheels off road.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded and transported two injured adults to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Two children traveling with the adults were not hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, a man who was in the second vehicle declined an ambulance for his injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation.
