RIVERBANK, Calif. (Dec. 15, 2023) — A woman and child were both injured Thursday morning in a Riverbank pedestrian accident at West Gate Drive and Saxon Way.
The collision occurred at around 7:45 a.m. on Dec. 14th, according to KCRA News.
A 67-year-old woman was crossing the roadway with her 9-year-old granddaughter when they were struck by a vehicle.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department reported a driver struck the two pedestrians while traveling along West Gate Drive near Saxon Way.
Sheriff’s deputies reportedly responded and the two victims were transported to nearby hospitals where they remain in critical condition, police said.
The 50-year-old man driving the vehicle stopped and cooperated with the investigation into the Riverbank pedestrian accident.
