Two Hospitalized; Car Overturns onto Roof on Highway 101
SANTA MARIA, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2023) — Two people were injured in a solo-vehicle rollover crash on the northbound Highway 101 early Tuesday morning near Santa Maria Way.
The collision occurred around 3:44 a.m. on Oct. 3rd, according to Noozhawk.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department sent firefighters and paramedics to help those injured.
The male driver and his female passenger were both extricated from the overturned vehicle. They suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center, police said.
Meanwhile, both the California Highway Patrol and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office sent deputies to the scene to investigate.
Authorities closed down Highway 101 due to the crash investigation and cleanup.
The case remains under investigation and it’s unknown if any charges will be filed.
