DUI Crash on Highway 86 in Thermal Injures 2 People; Roberto Gonzalez Arrested
THERMAL, California (December 26, 2016) – Two were injured in an alleged DUI crash on Highway 86 early Friday, December 23, according to The Desert Sun. (map)
The accident involving two vehicles was reported around 2:20 a.m., just north of Airport Boulevard.
As per the article,Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said 35-year-old Roberto Gonzalez was driving a black Hummer H2 north on Highway 86 when he veered out of the lane and struck a white GMC truck headed in the same direction.
The truck then overturned as a result of the crash. Its two occupants were transported to a hospital with injuries considered as minor.
Their names were not immediately disclosed.
Meanwhile deputies affirmed that Gonzalez, of Bakersfield, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked at the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
