Deadly Rollover Truck Accident on Highway 58
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2024) — Two people were killed Friday in a crash on Highway 58 and Sand Canyon Road, just west of Tehachapi in Kern County.
The deadly, multi-vehicle crash occurred near mile marker 156 around 8 a.m. on Nov. 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
The report stated three vehicles were involved and at least one was blocking the number two lane of Highway 58. A green Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with two occupants was on its side in traffic lanes.
The Kern County Fire Department responded and located two people with no pulse trapped in the overturned pickup truck.
Both people were declared dead at the scene, but paramedics transported two people with minor and moderate injuries to a hospital.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Highway 58 near Tehachapi.
Two tow trucks removed vehicles involved in the crash for evidence.
