2 Killed in Fiery Claremont Crash on East Sixth Street, Mills Avenue
Rasheed Bledsoe Killed in Fatal Tesla Collision
CLAREMONT, Calif. (April 29, 2025) – Rasheed Bledsoe, 52, is one of two people who died in a fiery Tesla crash into a tree early Monday on East Sixth Street in Claremont.
The deadly collision occurred around 2:10 a.m. on April 28th near Mills Avenue, according to the Claremont Police Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department officials.
The vehicle, a Tesla electric vehicle, reportedly went off the roadway due to unknown circumstances and struck a tree, bursting into flames upon impact.
Emergency responders arrived and pronounced the driver dead and located a passenger after the flames were extinguished. Rasheed Bledsoe was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as one of the victims, but it’s unknown if he was the driver or passenger. KTLA reported a witness saw the vehicle possibly speeding before it crashed.
Furthermore, a hazardous materials team had to respond to handle the vehicle fire due to the lithium batteries.
The investigation into the Claremont crash on Sixth Street is ongoing.
