A driver and passenger in a blue Honda CRV were located in the overturned vehicle in a field just north of Highway 166, CHP officials said.

Both people died at the scene of the crash, according to CHP.

Investigators are looking into whether a second vehicle collided with the Honda and fled the scene. CHP officials say the suspect’s vehicle is a dark-colored 2000s model with four doors (possibly gray or black) and it had orange and black racing stripes on the trunk as well as the side of the car.
