ESCONDIDO, California (August 28, 2016) – A major injury collision involving a motorcycle occurred on San Pasqual Valley Road (Highway 78) Saturday night, according to NBC San Diego.
The accident took place at approximately 9:30 p.m.
As per the article, San Diego County Sheriff Department said two people were riding a motorcycle when the operator lost control of the bike as he came around the curve.
The riders then struck the rocks in the area. Both were seriously injured and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Deputies affirmed that the driver, a man in his 30s, sustained a compound right arm fracture. His passenger, a woman in her 20s, suffered a possible broken femur.
The names and condition of the patients were not immediately available.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
