FOOTHILL RANCH, Orange — Two pedestrian were hurt after a pickup truck veered off Interstate 241 freeway and went airborne in a crash, according to an article by ABC 7.
Shortly before 10:00 a.m. on December 18, a 2003 Toyota Tundra was heading eastbound on the freeway when it suddenly slid down an embankment and subsequently struck two pedestrians.
Officials affirmed two two injured persons suffered major injuries and were transported to a hospital.
Further, the truck driver was later identified as 28-year-old John Weathers. Weathers did not survive the collision.
Further investigation is underway to determine charges and liabilities.
