1 Victim Hospitalized
LOS ANGELES, California (September 19, 2016) – Two pedestrians sustained injuries as a result of being hit by an alleged DUI driver on Hollywood Boulevard, according to an article by NBC Los Angeles.
The accident happened on September 19, Monday afternoon.
One of the two pedestrians involved was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but the other was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Investigators affirmed both pedestrians were walking in the area near McCadden Place at about 3:00 p.m. A black car suddenly rammed the sidewalk, hit the pedestrians and crashed against a building.
Additionally, authorities later discovered the black car was involved in an earlier crash along the boulevard near Las Palmas Avenue. The black car had struck another vehicle during the first incident, but failed to stop and continued driving.
As per the article, the female driver of the car involved in double crash has been arrested for felony hit and run and DUI. Investigation is ongoing.
