
Major Injury Collision at Bakersfield Intersection
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Jan. 23, 2025) — A major injury crash in Bakersfield happened Wednesday night at the intersection of Olive Drive and Knudsen Drive.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd, in northwest Bakersfield, the a report by KGET.
A driver in an eastbound Toyota Camry reportedly drove through a red light and crashed into a southbound Mini Cooper.
One of the cars also collided with a fire hydrant that was spouting water following the accident.
Paramedics transported three people from the Toyota to Kern Medical. Two of them had major injuries and one had minor injuries.
Meanwhile, four people from the Mini Cooper were checked for injuries, but none required hospitalization.
Investigators are working on the case.
