Lexus, Volkswagen SUV Crash Near Tustin, Santa Ana
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (August 21, 2024) — A minor-injury car accident happened Wednesday on the southbound 55 Freeway, just north of 17th Street near Santa Ana and Tustin in Orange County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 8 a.m. on August 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the driver of a red Lexus CT 200 reportedly rear-ended a white Volkswagen Tiguan SUV in the fast lane of State Route 55.
The Lexus sedan had major front-end damage from the collision and paramedics responded to help at least one person with complaints of pain.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the Lexus, but it’s unknown if the VW was also taken from the freeway.
Finally, investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
