2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 242 in Concord

CONCORD, Calif. (July 1, 2024) — A two-vehicle collision in Concord happened Monday morning on Highway 242 at Grant Street.

The traffic accident occurred at around 7:12 a.m. on July 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver Honda sedan and a red Ford pickup truck were involved. The car had moderate left-side damage and the vehicles pulled over to the center divide.

Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries who was transported to John Muir Medical Center.

A tow truck removed the Honda from the highway due to the damage.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the Concord collision on Highway 242.
