Car and Pickup Truck in Collision on State Route 25 in Gilroy Area
GILROY, Calif. (Jan. 30, 2030) — A two-vehicle crash involving minor injuries happened Tuesday afternoon at Highway 25 near northbound Highway 101, south of Gilroy, California.
The collision occurred in the westbound lanes of State Route 25 at around 12:40 p.m. on Jan. 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the collision occurred between a driver in a Nissan Altima and a white Ford pickup truck occupied by four people. The driver in the Nissan allegedly drove through a stop sign and crashed into the side of the pickup, the report said.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person who was injured in the crash. Tow trucks removed the Nissan due to moderate front-end damage and the truck with side damage from the crash.
Paramedics transported one person with complaints of pain to St. Louise Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the collision.
