Car Accident on Interstate 580 Freeway in San Rafael
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (April 24, 2023) — Two drivers were in a crash on the I-580 Freeway at the Richmond San Rafael Bridge, just east of the San Quentin exit.
The two-vehicle crash happened in the westbound lanes around 6:07 a.m. on April 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a silver Honda sedan and a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck were blocking the No. 1 lane of the I-580 on the bridge.
The Richmond Fire Department responded to help anyone injured in the crash, but there were no specific details.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the San Rafael crash.
