Toyota, Tesla Crash on 405 Freeway and Wilshire Boulevard
WESTWOOD, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2022) — A two-vehicle crash on the Interstate 405 Freeway happened Tuesday morning, just north of the Wilshire Boulevard on ramp in the Westwood area of Los Angeles County.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway about 8:40 a.m. on Nov. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Tesla and a black Toyota Corolla collided due to unknown circumstances. Both vehicles blocked the HOV lane of the freeway and the Toyota sustained major front-end damage and its airbags are deployed. Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the collision.
Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove the Toyota from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Westwood crash.
