Minor Injury Car Accident on Hawkins Road

ELMIRA, Calif. (Jan. 9, 2024) — A two-vehicle crash in Elmira happened Tuesday morning on Hawkins Road at Byrnes Road.

The minor injury collision occurred at around 7:51 a.m. on Jan. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck and a Toyota SUV were involved in the collision. The pickup truck had major front and left-side damage and wound up partially in a ditch next to the roadway. Meanwhile, the SUV went roughly 20 feet off the roadway on a steep embankment, the report said.

Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries, but there are no further details at this time.

Investigators are working to determine liability for the Elmira crash on Hawkins Road.
