One Injured in Collision on Highway 101 in Monterey County
PRUNEDALE, Calif. (Dec. 12, 2024) — A minor injury crash in Prunedale happened Thursday afternoon on southbound Highway 101 at the Echo Valley Road off-ramp.
The traffic accident involving two vehicles happened around 4:36 p.m. on Dec. 12th, in Monterey County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials and paramedics responded to the scene and located a small white transit van or motorhome and a silver Acura SUV blocking traffic lanes. One of the vehicles struck a white street light. The light pole was leaning over at the coroner of Echo Valley Road and the southbound 101, the report said.
Paramedics transported one person with minor injuries to a hospital for further treatment.
Authorities closed down the southbound off-ramp due to the crash and tow trucks removed the vehicles.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the Prunedale crash on Highway 101.
