2 Women Hospitalized After Rear-end Crash at Hook and Amargosa Intersection
VICTORVILLE, California (April 27, 2016) – A rear-end crash concluded in a multi-car mishap resulting in two women injured at Hook Boulevard and Amargosa Road Wednesday afternoon, according to VV Daily Press.
The accident happened at around 12:14 p.m.
Preliminary report stated that a woman driving in a silver Range Rover failed to stop at a red light.
The event led the Range Rover to hit the rear-end of a minivan.
The force from the impact resulted in one woman suffering in head injuries. She was immediately airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
The VV Daily Press published that the airlifted woman was suspected to have been an occupant from the minivan and was overthrown from the smash. But other witnesses claimed that she was actually a pedestrian. The authorities have not yet provided any clarification on this.
Further, the driver of the Range Rover was also hospitalized.
A third vehicle, a Toyota Tundra, driven by a 63-year-old man was also struck from the wreck.
Investigation remained underway.
