2 Women Killed in Crash on Highway 99, Highway 152 in Madera County
Teresa Freyear and Karima Buitron Identified
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2023) – Teresa Freyear, 20, of Planada, and Karima Buitron, 19, both died in a solo-vehicle crash Friday night on Highway 99, just north of Highway 152 in Madera County.
The deadly crash occurred at around 8:05 p.m. on Oct. 27th, according to Your Central Valley news.
Buitron was driving the older-model Toyota Camry with three passengers and heading north on Highway 99. The Madera teen was allegedly driving at high speed when she reportedly lost control at a curve in the roadway, hit a light pole and overturned.
Paramedics responded, but unfortunately both the driver and one of her passengers, identified as Teresa Freyear, died following the collision.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office identified the two women.
The fatal crash on Highway 99 remains under investigation.
