Dust Storm, Low Visibility Leads to Massive Collision
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2024) — Roughly 20 motorists traveling on Highway 152 near Road 17 were involved in a massive pile-up crash Monday afternoon in Madera County.
The traffic accident occurred around 1 p.m., just south of Chowchilla, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics responded and located several people with minor injuries who were transported to hospitals, but most people were just happy to survive the numerous collisions.
Investigators blame the traffic accidents on a dust storm that caused low visibility and multiple chain-reaction crashes.
Liability is yet to be determined.
