ANTIOCH (March 24, 2017)- According to the East Bay Times, a woman has been identified and arrested for triggering a DUI crash back on Thursday, March 23rd, on East 18th Street.
Antioch police officials reported the accident at roughly 9:37 p.m. when Megan Meyer, 26, collided with a 17-year-old woman’s vehicle.
The 17-year-old girl was hurt and so was her unidentified passenger who suffered major injuries to her leg. The driver’s puppy sadly died in the crash.
The two victims and Meyer were all taken hospitals where their conditions were never updated.
Police determined Meyer was under the influence as she was arrested at the hospital and taken into custody at the county jail.
Both sides of traffic on 18th Street for shut down for several hours while police perused the scene.
