3 Killed in Crash on Apple Valley Road and Yucca Loma Road
Woman, Two Juveniles Killed; Several Injured in Violent Collision
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (July 30, 2026) — A woman and two juveniles are dead, and at least three other people were hospitalized Wednesday night after a three-vehicle crash at Apple Valley Road and Yucca Loma Road in Apple Valley.
The crash occurred around 11:43 p.m. on July 29, 2026, on the northeast corner of the Apple Valley intersection between a silver 2019 Toyota Highlander, a silver 2015 Dodge Caravan minivan, and a white 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan.
Authorities with the Apple Valley Police Dept. say the Dodge was northbound on Apple Valley Road and allegedly failed to stop at the red traffic light. The minivan crashed into an eastbound Volkswagen, causing the VW to collide with the Toyota driven by a 34-year-old Apple Valley man.
People Trapped in Vehicles Rescued by Firefighters
The Apple Valley Fire Protection District sent firefighters to the scene, where they located several people trapped inside the vehicles due to major damage from the collision. They extricated those who were pinned in the vehicles and requested five ground ambulances. Unfortunately, three people including a woman and two juveniles from the Volkswagen, were pronounced dead at the scene. The 42-year-old Victorville man driving the Volkswagen and one passenger from the vehicle were hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the Dodge, a 43-year-old Hesperia man, had major injuries and was transported to a hospital, but the driver of the Toyota was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The Apple Valley Police Department is heading up the investigation into what led to the collision.
