Solo Crash into Palm Tree on Kearney Blvd., Near Garfield Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2024) – Three people are dead after a fiery, solo-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Kearney Boulevard in Fresno County.
It happened at around 3 a.m. on Sept. 13th after a car went off the roadway and hit a palm tree, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three people traveling in the Honda sedan were eastbound on Kearney Boulevard, near Garfield Avenue when it happened.
It’s unknown what caused the car to veer off the roadway. The vehicle caught on fire and all three occupants became trapped inside and died on scene.
Investigators are working on the case, but preliminary indications are that alcohol was a factor in the crash on Kearney Boulevard in Fresno.
UPDATE: Dario Urena, 25, of Kerman, was driving the vehicle with passengers, Syrus Suniga, 21, of Kerman, and Joey Suniga Jr., 27, of Kerman, according to the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office. The press release stated that Dario and Syrus are step brothers and Syrus and Joey are cousins.
