3 Killed in Orange County Pursuit Crash on I-5 Freeway in Anaheim
Two Injured in Collision on Interstate 5 Near Brookhurst Street

ANAHEIM, Calif. (July 16, 2025) — An early morning police pursuit of burglary suspects in Orange County ended with three people dead and two injured on the I-5 Freeway in Anaheim.
The fatal collision occurred around 3:25 a.m. on July 16th in the northbound lanes of the freeway near Brookhurst Street, prompting a SigAlert around 4:45 a.m.
The Anaheim Police Department said they were chasing a group of burglary suspects who also stole a car and other items.
3 Suspects Killed in Pursuit Crash
The driver of the black sedan with four passengers led police on a high speed chase before it overturned and came to a stop upside down on the shoulder near the La Palma exit.
Three of the alleged burglary suspects died at the crash scene and two survived with injuries and were hospitalized. One was listed in stable condition and the other was in critical condition.
The identities of the suspects who died were not released, pending family notification.
Investigators are working on the case.
