Major Injury Traffic Collision on Elijah Way, El Adobe

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., (August 19, 2026) — A crash involving three vehicles resulted in major injuries early Wednesday morning on Di Giorgio Road at Elijah Way in the El Adobe area of South Bakersfield, Kern County.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 6:58 a.m. and involved a black sedan, a silver Toyota Corolla sedan, and an unknown vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol, a male occupant was reportedly pinned inside one of the vehicles, necessitating emergency response efforts.

Emergency responders, including paramedics and police units, were dispatched to the scene, with the first unit arriving at approximately 7:10 a.m. At least one person was taken to the hospital with major injuries. Meanwhile, the roadway was cleared shortly after, but the incident remains under investigation.

The identities of those involved have not been released, and the condition of the injured parties is currently unknown. Authorities are seeking anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward with information.
