Crash Disrupts Traffic on State Route 371 Near Lake Riverside

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 17, 2025) — A three-vehicle crash on Highway 371 or Cahuilla Road happened Wednesday afternoon near Lake Riverside Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported on Dec. 17th shortly before 1 p.m. near the junction of State Route 371 between two pickup trucks and a sport utility vehicle, with at least one westbound lane blocked as emergency crews responded.

Firefighters from Cal Fire Riverside County and CHP officers were dispatched to the scene. Initial reports indicated moderate damage to the vehicles. Tow trucks were requested to remove multiple vehicles from the roadway.

Traffic was temporarily affected as responders worked to secure the scene and clear disabled vehicles. CHP briefly closed and then reopened the incident while coordinating with fire crews and tow operators.

The cause of the crash was not immediately released. No further details were available.
