Crash Disrupts Northbound Highway 99 in Delano

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 23, 2025) — A three-vehicle collision in Delano involving a work van, a Honda Accord, and a Mercedes temporarily blocked lanes on northbound Highway 99 near County Line Road on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash was reported on Dec. 23rd shortly before 1 p.m. on northbound SR-99 just north of County Line Road, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs. Initial reports indicated the vehicles were stopped in the fast lane following the collision.

Investigators said a white work van struck a gray Honda Accord, which was then pushed into a white Mercedes. At least one lane was blocked as emergency crews responded to the scene.

CHP logs indicated there were juveniles inside one of the vehicles who may have been injured. Tulare County Fire Department personnel were requested to respond, along with tow services to remove the damaged vehicles.

By early afternoon, a tow truck was en route, and CHP officers confirmed the vehicles remained disabled in the No. 1 lane. The extent of injuries, if any, was not immediately available, and no identities were released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
