Driver Allegedly Speeding Crashes into Two Other Vehicles
FREMONT, Calif. (Jan. 10, 2025) — At least one person was injured in a three-vehicle crash in Fremont on the southbound Interstate 880 Freeway, just south of the Auto Mall Parkway.
The traffic accident occurred at around 6:32 a.m. on Jan. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a grey Audi S3 hatchback was allegedly speeding before colliding into the back of a grey Toyota Camry. The Audi spun around and was facing the wrong way in the fast lane where it also hit a UPS van or truck.
The UPS driver called 911 and reported the Audi driver was speeding prior to the traffic accident.
Paramedics responded to help those injured in the crash and debris was scattered in the roadway.
A tow truck removed the Toyota in the middle lane due to major rear-end damage from the crash.
All lanes reopened to traffic at 7:15 a.m. and investigators continue to work on the case.
