Semi-Truck, SUVs Collide on I-880 Freeway, Alvarado Boulevard
FREMONT, Calif. (June 17, 2024) — A three-vehicle car accident happened Monday morning on the southbound Nimitz 880 Freeway at Alvarado Boulevard in Fremont.
The traffic accident occurred in the numbers two and three lanes of the Interstate 880 at around 8:16 a.m. on June 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers involved of a Honda Element SUV, a red Toyota Highlander SUV, and a Freightliner truck were involved in the collision, the report said. CHP officials reported the truck rear-ended the Honda and the sedan may have also crashed into the Toyota SUV.
Injuries Reported in Fremont Collision
At least one person had complaints of pain after the crash.
Paramedics responded and located those injured, but it’s unknown if anyone was transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Police issued a SigAlert for the southbound lanes of the freeway, just north of Alvarado Boulevard.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the 880 Freeway in Fremont.
