Multi-Vehicle Pile-Up Crash in Long Beach
LONG BEACH., Calif. (Feb. 1, 2024) — Three motorists were involved in a crash in Long Beach on Thursday afternoon on the Interstate 605 Freeway, just south of Carson Street East.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred on the southbound I-605 at around 1:57 p.m. on Feb. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The silver Mitsubishi sedan, a black Honda Accord and a black Toyota Camry were involved. The initial crash involved the Mitsubishi and the other two vehicles collided with the car in the HOV and fast lanes.
The Long Beach Fire Department responded and located two people with complaints of pain and a possible broken arm and a woman trapped in a vehicle with a small laceration to the head.
Tow trucks removed all three vehicles from the 605 Freeway in Long Beach.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
