Bystanders Stop Attempted Hit-and-run Driver
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (March 31, 2025) — A driver reportedly drove through a red light and hit two other vehicles Saturday at Nisqualli Road and Third Avenue in Victorville.
The man who allegedly caused the Victorville collision around 1:38 p.m. on March 29th, then attempted to flee the scene on foot, according to the Victor Valley News Group article. However, a local resident witnessed the crash and prevented the man from fleeing the scene.
Witnesses told authorities the driver in a black Infiniti failed to stop at the red light. The car struck a second vehicle and set off a chain-reaction crash with a third motorist.
Paramedics and emergency responders from the Victorville Fire and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s departments responded.
Firefighters rescued one person who was trapped in a black Kia SUV. The person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
Also, a driver of a blue Honda was also taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Police detained the driver of the Infiniti, but it’s unknown at this time what charges he will face.
Investigators are working on the case.
