The collision was reported at 7:04 p.m., just east of Marilyn Avenue.
As per the article, Highland Fire Department a Chevrolet Monte Carlo and a Ford Escape collided head-on along 5th Street.
Four adults and one child were taken to the hospital and were listed in stable condition.
Fire department described the victims as three men, one woman and a girl. Their names were not immediately disclosed.
Meanwhile, the roadway was cleared as of 8:20 p.m. after 5th Street was briefly closed in both directions.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
