2 Hospitalized, Including 1 with Major Injuries
GRASS VALLEY, California (April 18, 2016) – Four were injured, one seriously, in a traffic collision near Colfax Avenue and Ophir Street late Friday night, according to The Union. (map)
The crash involving two vehicles was reported at 11:33 p.m.
A statement released by the Grass Valley Fire Department said an early model limousine and a late model BMW collided. The limousine was spit in half while the BMW sustained front-end damage following the accident.
Fire department officials said a total of four people were hurt in the collision. One victim was taken to Sutter Roseville Trauma Center with major injuries while another was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital with minor wounds.
Two other patients were treated and then released at the scene.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
