Toyota Prius Crashes Into 7-Eleven Store
ARCADIA, Calif. (July 1, 2024) – Four people were injured on Friday night after a driver in a Toyota Prius crashed into a 7-Eleven convenience store in Arcadia.
The solo-vehicle crash occurred at 1003 South Baldwin Avenue. around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28th in Arcadia, according to a report by ABC 7 News.
A 53-year-old Arcadia man driving the Prius was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. He reportedly slammed into the glass front entrance doors and windows into the middle of the store. The car knocked over shelves and food fell on the floor.
There was major damage to the store windows and debris scattered throughout the store.
Paramedics responded and treated four people who were inside the store with undisclosed minor to moderate injuries. It’s unknown how many were hospitalized.
Meanwhile, police arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI.
The case remains under investigation.
